Hyper Jam is a neon-soaked arena brawler where players draft perks after each round.
The hard hitting combination of lethal weapons, stackable perks, furious combat and a killer synthwave soundtrack makes Hyper Jam a multiplayer title that'll keep you coming back for more.
Hyper Jam features fast-paced multiplayer arena gameplay for 2 - 4 players. Annihilate your friends round after round with rocket launchers, crossbows, hammers, katanas and more.
After every round, each player chooses a new perk which stays with them for the rest of the game, stacking and combining with their existing ones to create more powerful effects. A wide pool of unique perks ensures no two games are ever the same!
Play as a strong selection of ‘80s inspired characters on a variety of beautiful and dangerous arenas, ranging from a Miami hotel rooftop to a Neo-Tokyo subway.
Killer Synthwave Soundtrack
An addictive soundtrack featuring a growing list of talented synthwave artists including Dance With The Dead, Vulta and Meteor will keep your heart racing as you blow each other to bits.
Local and Online Multiplayer
Grab some controllers to take on your friends at home, or take the fight online and test your skills against the rest of the world in private or public matches.
Fill empty player slots with bots, or even play against 3 of them if you don't have any friends around. They can be quite a challenge on the highest difficulty and are great to hone your skills offline before jumping into the fray.
HistoryPAX Australia 2016
Throughout 2016 the team worked at various Melbourne-based game studios while developing Hyper Jam’s core mechanics and identity in their spare time.
By PAX AUS a polished vertical slice of the game was ready, and they decided to launch a Steam Greenlight campaign. Hyper Jam was greenlit in under three days after an extremely positive response from both the PAX and online communities.
After returning from GDC 2017, Roman and Sam were inspired by talking to other developers, and decided to leave the studio they were working at to begin developing Hyper Jam full-time.
Soon after this, Hyper Jam received funding from the Victorian Government, allowing the team to set up a studio in The Arcade, Melbourne, where the team now works from full time.
After several months of full time work and collaboration with various artists, Hyper Jam had been refined and polished with a major graphical upgrade, new arenas, mechanics and a working prototype for online multiplayer in house. The game was received exceptionally well this year, ending up in multiple “Best of PAX AUS” lists.
